Leadership post: To Publish or To Present:

After considering whether to publish or to present my Action Research project on cyber bullying, I have decided to publish. When I initially read that a decision would have to quickly be made, my feeling was that publishing would be the appropriate platform for my work. After researching Dr. Bedard’s reference lists for conferences and publications, my feeling was confirmed.  Publishing my work in a National Journal would be career savvy, and personally meaningful. Moreover, I feel that my research in this area can reach a larger audience through publishing. I have found that school systems around the globe are dealing with incidences of cyber bullying.  Presenting my work at conferences would not begin to have the impact on educators, possibly for years to come, which could occur through publishing. I look forward to researching acceptable journals, in which to present my research.
